Denim has always been my weakness. I don’t just buy jeans, I collect them. (Or at least that’s my excuse. ) It all started with Miss Sixty jeans in high school, followed by Seven’s, Rock’s and TR’s, and you know how the story goes… Now, I know I said that I was going to I was going to put my shopping habit to rest. But I fatefully found myself in the mall again on Sunday, and like the shopaholic I am, I simply could not resist. I walked by American Eagle and saw a rainbow of colored and patterned denim beneath a huge sale sign that said, “All jeans on sale!” Could I really say no? I wasn’t about to spend $250 on designer denim, it was going to be a teeny tiny splurge for being ever so good right?
This lovely pair of grey denim with soft tangerine flowers was calling out to me, “Try me! I’m on sale! I’m a steal of a deal!” For $39, it was certainly a must have. They were softly faded, just the perfect shade of cool grey to transition from summer to the fall, with soft orange blossoms and a hint of brown and pink. I could see myself in them already, casually paired with coffee ankle boots and an oversized white sweater. So off to the change room and straight to the cashier. No looking around, not chancing another purchase – I could see sale signs out of the corner of my eye. I’m ever so please with this purchase. If you’re in the market for some colored or patterned denim, definitely check out American Eagle. The have variety of colors and assorted prints from flower patterns to tie-dye washes – so economically priced you could buy 2! I was so pleasantly surprised and I think you will be too.
(Forgive me for wearing sunglasses, I’m a little camera shy.) In this photo, I’ve paired my new floral denim with pink-lined nude wedges and my fave peach cardy. Perfect for those cooler summer nights. Let me know what you love pairing your floral denim with in the comments!
