Getting Fit in the City with Classpass

Class Pass comes to Toronto!

This year one of my health goals has been to get in shape and live a healthier overall lifestyle. But I’ve always found working out to be, well, a bit boring. The gym just isn’t my thing, and classes often feel repetitive time after time. This is why I was super excited to hear that ClassPass was coming to Toronto!

ClassPass is a monthly membership to the best boutique fitness classes in the city. There are thousands of classes available to ClassPass members, including cycling, pilates, yoga, strength training, dance, martial arts, and more. They are truly transforming fitness and giving work out junkies the luxury of variety.

For just $99 a month, you receive unlimited access to over hundreds of classes everyday, so you can shake up your workout routine and make it as exciting or routine as you want. The membership pays for itself in just a few sessions, and it’s a great way to test out studios you didn’t even know existed.

ClassPass has an online reservation system makes it super easy and convenient to choose what classes you want to attend. They even have an app so you can easily book your classes right from your smart phone. Simply use the search function to pick the time, date, and type of workout, click to book, and ClassPass sends you a reservation confirmation and reminder, including instructions on what to bring to class. You can make reservations for classes up to a week in advance or a few hours beforehand.

To celebrate their recent launch in Toronto, they’re offering the standard ClassPass membership, normally CAD$99 per month, for $89 per month to first-time users. And if you’d like to lock-in even lower pricing, you may also commit to a 3-month subscription for $79 per month, or a 6-month subscription for $69 per month, but only for a limited time!

ClassPass is offered in cities all across the US including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Boston, Washington DC, Seattle, Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, Las Vegas, Raleigh, Baltimore, Tampa, St. Louis, Orlando, Nashville, Sacramento, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Detroit, and most recently they’ve expanded to London, Toronto, Vancouver!

So far this week, I’ve done a spin class and barre class, next week I have pole dancing and pilates class booked. The caliber of the studios and classes have been amazing and I can’t wait to try out more classes in the coming weeks!

Think ClassPass is something you’d give a try?

wow, that’s a nice long list of classes for $99.00 a month. I need to join a club like this that offers unlimited classes. I feel unmotivated when I workout by myself at home.

This is so awesome! I know of so many local women who could benefit from this! I see all the time in local groups women asking about various types of classes and it’s all word of mouth. This would make life so much easier for finding fun classes. If I had a baby sitter, I’d jump right on this!!

Wow! This looks like a great deal! I figured though that something like this wouldn’t hit my city!

My friend uses Class Pass here in NY and loves it! She was just telling me about this weekend. I am hoping they come out with one for Long Island soon, it sounds like an awesome program and I would love to give it a try :)

I have a Missy too. My youngest daughter, and she’s a runner & a nurse. She’s on her way in from Missouri with my grandson & I haven’t seen them in a year. They should be here in a half hour. Cannot wait. I use to do the these things you talk about and enjoyed it very much, but I now have Spinal Stenosis so I no longer can. :( ENJOY!

  • michele d

That certainly is a great deal for what you are getting. Unlimited is the way to go. I wish they had this deal where I live.

I use Classpass too! (In London). It’s pretty good! I actually cancelled my subscription previously because of the 24 hour cancellation clause/ late charge but they’ve since reduced it to 12- much more reasonable- and I’ve rejoined :)
