2021: A Year in Review

2021! Well what a year it’s been! It’s been a bit of a strange year following all the events of 2020, but it has also turned out to be one of the best years ever and for that I’m so grateful!

I’ll admit, 2021 started out like a bit of a continuation of 2020. With things still in lockdown, it really didn’t feel like the situation was going to change at all.

In February, little Charlie joined our lives. Even though we were stuck at home, every day is a good day with a puppy in the home.

Around this time too, we had already started house hunting. We were considering moving out of downtown Toronto, but still wanted to be in the city. It was crazy time for the housing market with prices being at an all time high.

We finally found our new home in March, and moved in June! We’ve grown to love it so much. It has turned out to the perfect home for us and our lifestyle.

Our new townhouse gives us more room than our condo, yet we’re still just inside downtown, but in a more neighbourhood-y area. And with our recent renovations and upgrades it’s really starting to feel like our own!

This summer was a busy one and just flew by! The move and upgrades around the home kept us busy. Things also started opening up again, and we attended couple events including The Grey Goose Smooth Putt Summer Experience and brunch with Herradura Tequila.

The fall seem to go by in a blur as well! We started our bigger home renovations of the 2 bathrooms and the kitchen. We’re so close to having it done now and I can’t wait to show you in the New Year! If you want a peek at the work in progress check out my latest life update post here.

It’s been an amazing year for my home and personal life, as well as my blog. Working from home this year has given me a chance to design my day and schedule to fit my lifestyle and evaluate what’s most important.

This year has been an incredible one for my blog! I made a commitment to 2 publishing blog posts a week for the whole year and kept it – which I’m so proud of! I’ve also began creating more video content, so give me follow me on YouTube here, as well as growing my email list – join it here for weekly updates including the best sales!

It was an amazing year of brand partnerships as well. I had a chance to work with fashion brands like Ever New, Cougar, 27 Miles Malibu, and SHEIN; beauty brands like Clairol, Graydon, Viviscal, Thermage; and even lifestyle and health brands like iHerb, Roidmi, Clearly, and Lilydale and more! It’s really been a dream come true!

I’ve also enjoyed connecting with so many of you here on my blog through comments, or over on Instagram and more recently on TikTok.

One last thing I wanted to mention, was one of my dream purchases. This was always kind of a far off goal for me, but it never seemed quite right timing until this year.

This year was a bit of a coming together of many goals I’ve been working towards. So I treated myself to my first Chanel bag (well technically it’s just a wallet-on-chain, but still!) It’s definitely an investment piece and I know this bag will one I cherish for a long time to come!

2021 was definitely one for the books and I’m excited for all that’s to come in 2022! Thank you for joining along on my journey and all the best in the New Year!
