Life Update, Outfits & Events, and Home Renovations

Here we are less than a week away from Christmas! I really don’t know where time has gone! It’s been a few months since my last update so I thought I’d do a quick one before the holidays are over.

Fall in Toronto

We had the loveliest fall here in Toronto this year. The weather was quite warm and I really got to enjoy the beauty of the fall foliage in my new neighbourhood!

My new area is super neighbourhood-y and has a great sense of community, which I love so much! During Halloween they had a big pumpkin carving contest in the park and a community block party, and I got to hand out candy for the first time! I haven’t enjoyed a wholesome Halloween like this in a long time!

Below are a few of my recent fall outfit pics! I’ve been all about comfort lately, so you’ll definitely be finding me in more casual clothes and shoes this season!

Events & Outings

I’ve been spending a lot of time at home, but I did find an excuse to dress up a few times this season!

Earlier in November, me and hubby went out for the re-opening of the Fairmont Library Bar back in November after renovations.

It so much fun to get my makeup done and shoot with other people again. I’ll be posting the final shots soon on my Instagram next month! So be on the look out for that! But in the meantime, here’s a peek at a few photos from the shoot!

More recently, me and hubby attended a The Gift of Patron Holiday Event in Yorkville Village.

This was probably the first event that felt ‘normal’ again. But I think that feeling was a little short lived, as we recently received notice that things are starting to lock down again.

Home Renovations Update

On the home front, we are mid way through our renovations! We are renovating 2 bathrooms and the kitchen, plus we redid all the plumbing. So basically my home has been construction site for the past 2 months.

The plan was to have everything finished before Christmas. But I’m not quite sure we will make it being just a few days away.

The bathrooms are on the closer side to being done, they’re missing the vanities and the shower doors. But here’s a peek at both of them. We went for a marble theme in both, with white walls in the guest bathroom, but a dark walls in the ensuite for a cozier look.

They just started on the kitchen on this week. Everything was torn out a few days ago, and the cabinets are arriving today or tomorrow and hopefully we can get that completed soon too!

My office is almost put together, minus all the clutter that is temporarily stored in there while we do renovations. Here’s one little corner with my bookshelf that’s actually not messy at the moment.

As for holiday plans, right now everything is up in the air with the new lockdown regulations coming into effect. I think it’s super unfortunate it has to happen this time of year, but even looking back at the last few months I know I have so much to be thankful for.

We will probably still have a small family dinner, though we probably won’t be able to host anything with our renovations, or really see too many of our friends, which I was looking forward to. Regardless I’m going to try to make the best of it!
