I know we’re almost a week into 2022, but the days between Christmas and New Years have been a blur. So better late than never, I’ve started to plan out my 2022 goals.
I had a great 2021, and I’m hoping 2022 will match! Last year I set number of larger goals for my blog and career that I’m continuing to working towards. So this year, I want to focus more on lifestyle goals, to help support my growth.
Last year was full of so many changes in my life that it really uprooted a lot of my daily habits and routines. This took a toll on both my mental health and productivity.
I toughed it out through the year, but I know I’ll be headed for burnout if I keep going at this pace without some changes.
There are 5 main things I want to focus on:
1. When is done done?
Between my career, my blog, my personal life and home life, it feels like there is a never ending to-do list. During the evenings, I find often find it hard to call it a day and often end up working right up until bed time.
Going forward, I’ll try to limit my list for 2-3 bigger tasks a day. And really listen to what I’m feeling towards the end of the day to understand when I should done, and make some time for myself.
2. Rebuilding habits and routines
A few of the habits that fell to the wayside were journalling, my morning routine and nighttime routine.
When I doing all 3 on a regular basis, I felt more balanced and grounded, as well as focused and mentally organized.
Now that our renovations are almost done, I’m ready to get back into regular routines. I plan on building them back up again using the habit stacking method. Where you build new habits by adding them to current ones.
Using this method has helped me build habits and routines before and hopefully I can utilize it again this year!
3. To celebrate more
I’m a firm believer of rewarding yourself for your achieving your goals. But I’ve only done it for bigger goals and achievements.
For 2022, I want to find small ways to celebrate little wins on a more regular basis to bring small moments of joy to my day.
This could be something as simple as enjoying a coffee and croissant in the afternoon as reward for completely a big task in the morning or to go on longer walk in the afternoon with my dog if it’s been a day of back to back meetings.
4. Friendships and Relationships
Did you know that friends and relationships bring more happiness into our lives than virtually anything else? With Covid I haven’t seen many of my friends for a long time and even my closest friends just a few times maybe.
I want to make more time and more effort for friendships and relationships this year. Yes, I put the blame Covid a little, but I understand that it’s still very much up to me to put the effort in.
5. Sustainability and thoughtful living
It was one of my goals last year to learn more about sustainability live a more sustainable lifestyle. And this year I want to continue working on that.
As you know I love fashion, and I generally have a blend of both fast fashion and sustainable clothing. But this year I want to be more thoughtful with my purchases and making sure I’m able to get more wears out of my clothing.
And in general, I just want to be more aware or single use products, as well as having a betting understand of how products are made and the materials they’re made with.
It’s been a really eye opening process for me to learn more about sustainability and the environment. And one blog I love is curatedbyjennifer.com, she blogs about sustainable fashion and healthy living, and really offers great info into world of sustainable living.

January 6, 2022Aww thank you for mentioning me Eileen!!! I so appreciate it!! And if you want to try to drink less pop, you should try Olipop. It’s all natural and no refined sugar. Zevia is also good. That one is sweetened with stevia.
