2022! What a year it’s been! Coming out of covid and returning back to regular life felt just as crazy as going lock down in 2020.
At the same time so, so many good things come out of this year for me. It’s definitely been a year of growth and challenges. But looking back I know it’s all for the best.
I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some things I learned this year. It’s been a bit of a wild ride, but I’ve come out the other side with some valuable insights.
Five things I learned in 2022
Mental health is health
This year, I realized just how important it is to take care of myself, both physically and mentally. Whether it’s setting aside time for to journal, exercise, or simply taking a moment to breathe, I found that self-care helps me feel more balanced and energized.
Gratitude goes a long way.
Gratitude really changes the lens that you look at the world through. I learned that focusing on the good things in my life can make a huge difference in my overall happiness.
Whether it’s taking a few minutes each day to write down what I’m grateful for, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the little things, I found that cultivating an attitude of gratitude can really shift my perspective.
Learning from others is so valuable
This year, I made a goal to seek out new perspectives and learn from those around me. Whether it was through reading online, attending workshops, or simply having conversations with friends and colleagues, I found that exposing myself to different ideas and viewpoints helped me to grow and expand my horizons.
Resilience is key
There were definitely some challenges this year, but I learned the importance of persevering through tough times and finding ways to adapt and grow. It’s not always easy, but it’s so worth it in the end.
Routines make everything easier
With all the changes this year, my regular routine has been quite un-routine. I didn’t think it mattered so much, but I came to realized that routines, and particularly my morning routine gave me so much structure in my day to day life.
