My actual winter workwear rotation — the outfits I repeat on repeat 🖤
This is for the woman who goes into the office, actually has to get dressed every morning, and wants to look pulled together without overthinking it. These are 8 real outfits I wore this winter — no styling team, no pressure, just combinations that work.
Here’s what’s been in heavy rotation:
01. Red boucle cardigan + black pleated mini skirt + sheer tights. The colour does all the heavy lifting. Everything else is simple.
02. Double-breasted navy blazer + black knit dress + sheer tights. The blazer-over-dress formula is one I keep coming back to. Looks like an outfit, requires almost no effort.
03. Olive turtleneck + black satin mini + knee-high boots + sheer tights. Full Rachel Green energy. A slim fitted knit tucked into a mini is one of those combos that never goes out of style.
04. Graphic sweatshirt + Oxford shirt underneath + burgundy velvet mini + tall boots. The layered shirt collar under the sweatshirt is the detail that makes this feel intentional vs. casual. One of my favourite unexpected work outfits this season.
05. Brown ribbed sweater dress + tall boots + sheer tights. The easiest outfit format in existence. One piece, done. This chocolate brown version is particularly good for winter — it’s warm, it reads polished, and you’re out the door in five minutes.
06. Burgundy knit top + matching button-front midi skirt + knee-high croc boots. Tonal dressing is genuinely one of the most effortless outfit tricks. Matching your top and bottom in the same rich colour = automatically looks expensive.
07. Shearling jacket + black satin mini + knee-high boots. For the coworker who is cold 24/7. The shearling adds texture and warmth without looking sloppy — especially over a sleek skirt.
08. Black turtleneck sweater + brown houndstooth mini + sheer tights + tall boots. The pattern on the skirt does enough. The black turtleneck just lets it shine.
The through-line? Sheer tights with everything, a mini skirt or a dress as the base, and either a great boot or a blazer to pull it together. That’s it. That’s the winter work uniform.
