As a blogger, I’m lucky to get to try out all sorts of different products, from skincare and make-up to fashion, decor and other fun things. You may get a glimpse of some of these on my Insta Stories, but most of the time I won’t get a chance to share them all with you, so I decided to start a new monthly feature for all my favorite things that I’ve been trying out the past month.
There’s no limit to what you’ll see here in this new monthly column, it can be anything from beauty to fashion to decor or just anything that I’ve come across and I fallen in love with. This month, has mostly a beauty focus and I’m going to share all my current favorites in make up, skin care, and hair care.
Skincare Product Favorites
1. Protect and Prevent Serum – Dr. Roebuck’s
Dr. Roebuck’s is an Australian company that formulates their skincare with minimal ingredients for maximum results. I love their natural approach to skincare and their products are BPA free, paraben free and cruelty free. The Protect and Prevent Serum contains plant extracts to strengthen, revitalize, and prevent damage to the skin. I’ve been loving this serum and I feel like it’s improve both my skin tone and texture since I’ve been using it.
2. Day Cream – Rocky Mountain Soap Co.
I’ve been a fan of soaps from Rocky Mountain Soap Co. for years, but only had a chance to try out their skincare recently. All their products are 100% natural and not tested on animals, which I love! This day cream is my new every day favorite, and made to nourish, protect and while combating the signs of aging. It like superfood for your skin, rich with natural anti-oxidant formula that has just the right balance of hydration for my skin. It works well under your makeup and leaves my skin feeling supple and refreshed.
3. Bio-Oil
Bio-Oil is famously known for its use on stretch marks and scars. But honestly this little bottle is like magic for my dry skin. Bio-Oil’s mixture of plant extracts and oils conditions the skin leaving it soft, smooth and supple. My hands and feet and always dry from repeated washing, being outdoors, or barefoot workout classes like yoga and barre. Every night I take a few moments to massage some Bio-Oil onto my hands and feet and it’s done wonders for them! The Orogold reviews make me think that it might be a similar product in terms of its results.
4. Stress Positive Eye Lift – Dermalogica
This is a de-puffing eye treatment and eye masque in one. It brightens, lifts and de-puffs and comes with a unique cooling tip which is perfect for all those puffy eye mornings. It brightens my eyes up and makes me look rested even when I’m not. The formula is nice and light so that it absorbs well and your eye make up goes on nicely.
Makeup Favorites
5. Brow Sculpting Pencil and Powder Duo – Quo
I’ve never been great with brows, I always chalk it up to my shaky hand, but I could never get my arch right or have them look balanced. But this brow pencil from Quo changed my brow game, it features a wide, angled, triangular pencil tip that helps you get that arch to look just right! It also goes on with just enough color to make it look natural and blends amazingly. I wasn’t able to find the exact product to link it online, but you can find it at Shoppers Drug Mart.
6. Matte Revolution Lipsticks – Charlotte Tilbury
I recently discovered the Matte Revolution Lipsticks from Charlotte Tilbury and I’m in love! I have The Queen, which is a classic red, and Secret Salma which is darker pink, and both go on so beautifully. They’re matte and creamy and make your lips look so full and lush. I also love their long lasting formula and how comfortable they are wear all day while making my lips look great.
Haircare and More
7. 3 in 1 Leave In – Sunbum
Sun Bum 3 in 1 Leave In Treatment that detangles, conditions, and protects. I have fine hair that loves to tangle and a few spritzes of this instantly helps me brush my hair without weighing my hair down. It also protects hair against heat styling, slows color fade and it smells great!
8. Densifique Bain Densité & Fondant Densité – Kerastase
I’ve use Kerastase products before and have always loved them. Recently I had the chance to try the shampoo and conditioner from the Densifique line and fell in love again! I really enjoy using the Bain Densité shampoo. It works into a rich lather with a light refreshing scent. This shampoo doesn’t strip away moisture from my hair and doesn’t leave any residue behind as many hair thickening forumlas do. The conditioner is just as lovely, moisturizing my hair, but not weighing down. Together they leave my hair soft, bouncy and clean.
9. 1 Hour Tan Mousse – Cocoa Brown Tan
We all know that the sun’s rays are harmful, but we all love a tan right? I’ve been using this 1 Hour Tan Mousse and I’ve been loving it. There was small learning curve to the application with the mitt since I haven’t used it before, but by the 2nd time around I was a pro. The mousse formula is easy to use and goes on evenly with no streaking. And the color is just amazing! The tan comes out just like its name, a beautiful cocoa brown color. Also I love that it doesn’t have that that self tanner smell to it and you can rinse it off in an hour so you don’t need to worry about it staining your sheets or clothes.

August 11, 2017My niece used Bio Oil to rid her legs of stretch marks. She had them because she gained weight so fast when she was put on oral steroids for her kidney disease. It did lighten the stretch marks but she is still using them to make it totally disappear. I have a bottle but I always forget to use it on my feet at night.
