If you’re a fan of powder foundations, the bareMinerals BAREPRO 16HR Skin-Perfecting Powder is a must try!

I’ve been a long time fan of mineral powder foundations. When I discovered them, they were the holy grail for my skin! Anything other than mineral powder foundations would cause me to break out.

I also love how mineral powder foundations were just so easy to apply and remove. And made my skin feel healthier overall since they felt so much more breathable.

I’ve been testing out BAREPRO 16-HR Skin-Perfecting Powder Foundation and I think it might just top my list now. My long time favourite has been the Jane Irdedale PurePressed Mineral Foundation.

My colour match: Light Warm 20 – light warm skintone with a yellow hue

This shade was a perfect colour match for my skin tone. I have a lot of yellow undertone in my skin, so I often struggle to find a good match.

They had a fair amount of colour inclusive skin shades too which is amazing!

Coverage

One of the things I love most about powder foundations is easy and buildable they are. With the bareMinerals BAREPRO 16-HR Skin-Perfecting Powder Foundation you can adjust your coverage from light to full just depending how much you need.

The powder foundation was well pigmented and provided full and beautiful coverage. It does a wonderful job evening out my skin tone, and hiding redness and pigmentation. And I didn’t find I needed a lot of product either which is great.

Wearability

In my video below I test the BAREPRO 16-HR Skin-Perfecting Powder Foundation out for a full day: photoshoot, work, & even an event!

I have to say the BAREPRO 16-HR Skin-Perfecting Powder Foundation held up really well. I was going from humid outdoors to A/C buildings and running around all day. At 7pm that night it still looked pretty good!

Throughout the day, it maintained coverage quite well too. Minus a little bit of wear around the mouth from eating. My cheeks and forehead still had most of my makeup intact at the end of the day.

Another thing I found impressive was how good my skin looked when I checked in on it throughout the day. I felt like the foundation almost adjusted to the humidity and the environment to prevent my skin from being too dry or too oily.

However, there’s just one small thing I didn’t like it about it. And it’s probably just negligible to most people. I found it created a quite a bit of fall out when I used my makeup brush in it. Not a super big deal at all, but just be careful if you’re wearing a white shirt or don’t want to get makeup all over your counter.

I’m super picky with foundations, and I have to say I really love the bareMinerals BAREPRO 16-HR Skin-Perfecting Powder Foundation. It’s a foundation that covers beautifull and is long lasting, while being good for your skin!

It covered very well without having to use a lot my product. And kept my skin looking naturally matte all day and didn’t look cakey at the end of the day either.

I also love that it’s clean and mineral based, as well as vegan and cruelty free. It’s no surprise it was named New Beauty 2022 Awards – Best Powder Foundation!
