I love how blazers have become such an every day piece. Easily one of the top wardrobe staples, blazers can give you a confidence boost for a meeting presentation to a being the perfect cover up over a date night dress.
Today I’m sharing 3 basic blazers that every woman needs in her wardrobe. They are the 3 blazers I’ve personally get wears out of and definitely worth investing in. But I’ll be offering both some quality budget friendly options as well as some options worth spending on!
3 Must Have Basic Blazers for Your Wardrobe

The Classic Black Blazer
A basic black blazer is the ultimate wardrobe staple. I would opt for a classic shape that’s not too loose or fitted so it remains timeless and you’ll be able to wear it for years to come. It’s definitely a worthwhile investment piece for your capsule wardrobe.
I’ve had this black double breasted from Club Monaco (similar) for 3 years now, and it’s still one of my favourite blazers!
Banana Republic also has a similar version of this classic double breasted blazer as well! And is another great place to shop for classic blazers.
If you’re looking for an affordable option, this SHEIN blazer is under $45. And is a great option if you’re on a budget!
The Tan Blazer

Having a tan blazer is perfect for those occasions where a black blazer looks just a little too formal or you’re wearing lighter colours.
I’m wearing a Camila Coelho Blazer from Revolve and my only regret is not getting this sooner! It’s a great basic blazer in a beautiful warm tan colour that an easy neutral to match with other colours.
This SHEIN tan double breasted blazer is a budget friendly option that I own as well. It’s one of the best SHEIN items to buy and looks so much more expensive costs!
The Plaid & Houndstooth Blazers

With fall in full swing, my houndstooth blazer has been on high rotation. I feel like plaid and houndstooth patterns and synonymous and makes a great basic blazer for cold weather seasons. And I love texture and warmth it brings to my outfits.
It goes so well other neutrals. And just throwing it over some of my summer dresses gives them a quick transition to cooler weather attire.
This houndstooth blazer I’m wearing is an affordable option from SHEIN under $40. It’s fairly lightweight, but still decently warm, and fully lined as well.
I have my eye on this ReWool 80’s Houndstooth Blazer from Everlane though, and waiting to see if there might be sale on it for Black Friday!
