Spring is in full swing here in Toronto! The sakura trees have been in full bloom this past week with white and pink cherry blossoms decorating the city. They bloom only once a year and an absolutely magnificent sight.
I’m so fortunate to close by to Trinity Bellwoods Park, over the last few years the city has planted a bunch of cherry blossom trees all over the park and when they bloom it’s turns the park into magical playground with thousands of mini pink blossoms against the blue sky. My favorite is when they start falling, and when the breeze blows it looks like it’s snowing pink petals.
A few other spots you can also catch the cherry blossoms in while they’re in bloom are High Park (where you’ll find the most sakura trees, but also very busy), Centre Island, Robarts Library and Centennial Park. Soon you’ll be able to add Woodbine Beach Park to that list too, where the city is planning on planting a cherry blossom tunnel for next year!
I was lucky enough to have great weather that day when I came to visit the park. The sky was clear blue and the sun was shining warmly while a light spring breeze kept things comfortable. Because it was a weekday, there were was only a small crowd of people enjoying the view of the cherry blossoms and snapping pictures.
Thanks to the warm sunny weather, I could comfortably sport this casual outfit with a grey t-shirt dress with chambray shirt without being too chilly. I paired it with my Stan Smith Addidas sneakers (on high rotation lately) so I could walk around comfortably and while enjoying the view.
