The Fabric of Summer: Linen

Summer outfit from Evernew Melbourne - white tank, fish tail skirt, sandals, rattan bag

Linen has been worn by all the famous style icons, from Cleopatra all the way Jackie-O and Andrey Hepburn, and now it’s taking over on Instagram from editors and influencers alike. There’s no doubt that linen is making a comeback and with this natural fabric being oh-so-breathable as well, it makes the perfect fabric for summer dressing.

Linen has a relaxed vibe and creates this effortless look, that also can look really smart and elevated at the same time. I’ve been seeing linen pieces of all kinds from pants to dresses to tops and more, so I recently added this linen skirt and top from Evernew to my collection for my summer wardrobe.

For this outfit, I’ve paired this fresh white linen button front cami with this soft green linen midi skirt, both from Evernew. I’m really loving this tank at the moment, it’s simple with a little button detail, and such a versatile addition to my warm weather wardrobe. It works with everything from denim to skirts or even under a blazer for summer workwear chic.

This linen skirt is a beautiful piece as well, and probably the first green item I’ve added to my wardrobe in a very long time. I’m obsessed with this soft green color, it’s so unique, yet wearable. The midi length skirt has also been a popular trend as well, I find it to be particularly flattering with flats and heels alike, as well as comfortable to wear. This one has an elegant pop with the slight mermaid flare at the bottom.

As for my accessories, I have this ultra cute headband from Gibou. Headbands have been making a comeback too, and are perfect for keeping that hair out of your face in the summer heat. And I’ve finally pulled my rattan basket bag out from winter storage, this was one of my favourite pieces from last year, and I’m sure it will be on high rotation for this summer as well. As for shoes, I have a pair of nude block heel sandals to complete the look.

Evernew Melbourns opens at Square One - Evernew review

Evernew Store Opening at Square One

As I mentioned earlier, both the linen tank and skirt were from Evernew, and I actually picked them them out a their recent store opening at Square One in Mississauga. If you’re not familiar with then, they’re an Australian based brand with a collection of feminine womenswear. Their clothing is beautifully designed and thoughtfully made from quality materials. Their clothes are elegant, but still on trend, with many classic pieces you can probably wear for years to come.

Here are a few pictures from the Evernew Square One store opening where I got to try on some of their clothes. As you can see, they had so many cute pieces. I’m having some particular regret about the floral pleated skirt (above) and that blue suit (bottom).

  3. Natural fabrics are the best, especially during summer. I love all of your outfits. I think the skirts are awesome,
