It’s so easy to get caught up in life. As modern women, we’ve been told we need to have it all – careers, families, relationships, and social lives. We have big goals and mountains of responsibilities. It’s great to aspire to be all that we can be, but this can take a toll on us as well. In our busy, crazy lives, we tend to forget we need to take time for ourselves.

We get exhausted and burnt out. And this problem leads to other problems. Which takes away from the ultimate goal of achieving all the things we want to achieve. So often, women are so busy making decisions for others that they tend to neglect taking time for themselves.  It’s been proven that self-care makes you more emotionally and physically capable of taking care of others.

Creating more personal time should at the top of your the list of goals you want to accomplish along with everything else. Finding as little as 15-30 minutes a day of uninterrupted, relaxing “me” time is so important. You need to make the time for ‘me’ time, in order to have ‘me’ time, it won’t just magically appear. Taking some time for yourself can be anything from taking a relaxing shower to exercising and doing some stretches. Finding my ‘me’ time

One of the best times to get some ‘me’ time in is during a bath/shower time.  It’s a little bit of time that everyone has for themselves. So many of us get in a habit of just showering like it’s a chore, doing it as quickly as possible and then rushing on to the next thing to do. But this is really the perfect time to pamper yourself a little.

One thing I always make sure to do is to care for my skin by keeping it moisturized and hydrated. It’s a little luxury I’ve always committed to and enjoyed.     One of my goals at the beginning of the year was to take more “me” time and I’m happy to report that I have added breaks in my day to do fun things that help me relax and unwind. Exercise also helps. Enjoying me time ultimately gives me more energy and more creativity when it’s time to get back to work.

    I just love Aveeno products! They saved my bacon numerous times with my youngest as she has a lot of skin issues. I will have to try them for me as well because I could definitely use more me time!

    I try so hard to have a little bit of me time – but mine is usually three minutes before my eyes close at night. Saying that, I have been using the Baby Aveeno that my son uses and it’s SO good on my skin, so it’s a fabulous three minutes! 🙂

    I love your tips because I need all the encouragement to focus on giving myself me time. I do try to just relax before I go to work with a cup of coffee and music. Really puts in me in good mood to start my day off before the chaos begins.

    OMG! ‘Me time’ is much needed to keep sanity in the world! I would love to treat myself to some Aveeno products while relaxing : ) I’m getting better at finding more time to take better care of myself and my skin while living the single motherhood! it’s hard!

  13. I usually have about 15 minutes to myself in the mornings and I try to sit on my porch and enjoy my coffee in the peace and quiet!

    Oh, I like having me-time! I usually get up at 4-30 and have about 30 minutes for myself. i make a cup of coffe, sit at the table, find on my smartphone the youtube channel and watch my favourite film “Sex in the Big City”. Then I full of energy and joy.
