Lucious, full lips are one of the most sought after beauty looks. And though injections are always an option, wonders of makeup can take you pretty far as well!
We all know that contouring can do wonders for you face, but did you know you can contour your way to fuller lips too?
Well today I’m going to show you how I contour my lips in just 3 easy steps to create a fuller pout!
An easy way for how to naturally make your lips look bigger is to contour your lips. The method is really simple and takes hardly any time at all. You’ll need 3 basic products that you’ll probably already have in your makeup kit.
- A lip liner – choose a shade slightly darker than your natural lip colour
- A lipstick – choose a lighter shade than your lip liner
- A lip gloss – choose a plumping version as a bonus!

For my lips, I’m using the Vasanti Lip Line Stix in Depth Defining Brown. Then the Lip Line Stix in Natural Instinct for my lighter contouring shade lipstick, and the Vasanti Hyaluronic Lip Plumper as my gloss.
The Vasanti Lip Line Stix are a liner and lipstick in one, that are are just a little more forgiving than traditional liner which is why I love them so much.
They have a creamy texture and don’t try out your lips. Plus they wipe away easier if you feel like you’ve over-lined or don’t like the shape you’ve created. You can also use them as a stand alone lipstick or liner to contour your lips.
The Vasanti Hyaluronic Lip Plumper is a high shine lip gloss. In addition to the gloss factor, it boosts the natural hyaluronic in your lips so they look fuller and smoother which helps to enhance the appearance of them as well
Here are a few of my other favourite lip liner, lipsticks and glosses:
How to get fuller lips by contouring them
STEP 1: Start with your lip liner and define your lips by lining them slightly outside of your natural lip.
If you have thinner lips you can make your liner thinner. But I typically like to apply it slightly thicker and work on blending it out later.
STEP 2: Fill in the rest of your lips with your lighter shade lipstick to create depth and contour. Blend your lipstick into the liner to get rid of the harsh line for a more natural contoured effect.
STEP 3: The last step is to apply your lip gloss to add shine and dimension to your lips. Focus your gloss on the middle of your lips to make them look fuller.
You can skip this last step if you want to create a more matte look, but I find a glossy shine goes a long way to making your lips look fuller and plumper.
And there you have it, how to get fuller looking lips in 3 easy steps!
