With all the daily stresses of life, it’s important to make some time for ourselves just to relax and unwind. And as much I love getting things checked off on my to-do list, making time to slow down and decompress is important too. One of my favourite things to do is to unwind with a spa day, but I don’t always have the time to spare or the budget for regulars visit to the spa. I’ve put together some easy ways to create a relaxing spa-like experience at home while giving skin a treat with Bio-Oil. So whether you’re rewarding yourself after a long week or pampering your skin after traveling, these 5 easy treatments will have your skin feeling gorgeous without breaking the bank. Your mind and body will thank you.
A warm bath can help relax tensed muscles and melt aches away, not to mention your help with your mental well-being too! Create your own home spa experience by adding a few drops of Bio-Oil into your bubble bath. With botanicals like Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary, Chamomile, and Vitamin A & E, it will leave your skin super soft and silky after your relaxing soak.
Treat your skin to a Bio-Oil as a massage. You can use Bio-Oil just like any other massage oil, and with all it’s skin strengthening benefits you’ll also be giving it a boost of natural goodness. Not only will you be tackling your muscles with your massage, the ingredients in Bio-Oil will moisturizes, improves the texture and tone of skin, leaving it softer, smoother and more supple. Bonus: it has a light rose scent that’s soothing and relaxing.
Your hards are probably the hardest working part of your body. You use them for practically everything, they brave the extremities, get frequently washed and dried, and really get put through so much. Giving them a some extra TLC with a moisturizing hand mask is an easy thing to do, and they’ll thank you after. Start with apply a generous amount of Bio-Oil to your hands and thoroughly massage it into each finger and cuticle. The Vitamin E component will keep them strong and healthy. Then wrap a hot warm towel around them for 5 minutes and let all the goodness soak it. When you’re done, your hands feeling softer and looking more youthful.
Taking time to show your tootsies some TLC is important too! Soak your feet for 5-10 minutes in a bath with a few drops of Bio-Oil to help soften the calluses, then mix a few drops of Bio-Oil with some sugar for and easy scrub that will exfoliate your skin and moisturize it at the same time.
The Bio-Oil uses are truly endless, it’s a multi-tasking product that can save you whenever you’re in a beauty bind. It’s is packed with combination of vitamins and plant extracts, which are all ingredients that are not only good for your skin, but great for your hair too. Massage some Bio-Oil into your hair before you go to bed, and wash it out in the morning for a extra dose or moisture and hydration. Just make sure you sleep on a towel so it won’t transfer to your pillow cases. And if you don’t want to leave it in overnight, you can also just do it 15 minutes before you shower and wash it out then.
