July has gone by SO fast! But that’s seems to be the case when you’re having fun or busy, and this month was both!
With so much happening lately, I thought I’d give you a recap of this past month and all the fun things that have been going on!
Home Update
We’re settling nicely into our new home! Our bedroom is mostly set up, and our living room and offices are finally coming together as well.
Our couch took forever to arrive! We were sofa-less for nearly 2 months since we threw out our old one when we moved and the shipping delay was unexpected.
But it’s finally here and it’s really helped to pull the living room together. We also got a new dining set, and now we just need reading chair and coffee table, and we can be on to decor!
I’m excited to have my office come together as well. My new desk arrived earlier in the month, along with a new bookshelf. And once we paint this weekend I’m going to properly set things up so I see what else I need.
My Hubby has become so handy around the house! He installed new blinds, light fixtures, and currently working to convert our home to a smart home.
As for the renovations, we’re getting the last round of quotes before we decide to move forward. We plan to redo the kitchen, along with 2 of the bathrooms.
Getting out and about
Lockdown was finally lifted here in Toronto earlier this month! And we’ve been trying to get out a little more to enjoy the summer!
One weekend, me and hubby went for mini golf by the waterfront. It was pop-up event called The Smooth Putt and hosted by Grey Goose.
It’s the first event I’ve attended in close to a year. And it was so nice to get out again! We played 9 holes of mini golf accompanied by Grey Goose cocktails and was so much fun!
Here’s a little video of our afternoon!
Spa Day
Earlier this week, I went for a Jet Peel Facial at the Hamman Spa. I haven’t had any facial treatments in forever and my skin was much needed of a detox!
The Jet Peel uses pressurize oxygen to cleanse and exfoliate skin. It’s totally non invasive with no downtime and can also be infused with serums that penetrate into the deeper layers of skin.
There are 3 steps to the Jet Peel facial:
- Lymphatic drainage – to get toxins and excess liquid build up under the skin
- Exfoliation – to unclog pores and remove dead skin
- Treatment – infused with serum to treat and rejuvenate skin
The procedure is very gentle and can be done on sensitive skin. It feels cool and relaxing as it passes over your skin. After the Jet Peel, my skin look had the best glow and looked so plump and firm!
If you’re interested in seeing it action, there’s a short video of the Jet Peel experience!
New Hair! Who Dis?
I also got a little hair makeover too! My hair had grown so long and unmanageable over the last few months. A fresh chop was much needed!
Here’s a before and after of my hair transformation!
I cut off close to 8 inches for shoulder length lob. It felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders, quite literally! I also lightened up the colour a bit for the summer with some balayage highlights.
What’s Cooking in the Kitchen
Lately, I’ve been getting into cooking and baking a little more. We were ordering UberEats a little too much over lockdown, and recently started to have some fun in the kitchen.
