Let me tell you, motherhood has been a wild ride—full of ups, downs, and everything in between. Since my daughter was born in March, my life has changed in so many ways, and although it’s been challenging, it makes my heart feel so full.
Every day, I’m amazed at how much she’s learning and changing. Seeing the world through her eyes has given me a new perspective on life, something I never expected but truly cherish.
The past few months have been particularly special as I’ve really started to embrace my new role and enjoy the simple joys of watching her grow and learn each day.
One of the most memorable aspects of these first six months has been experiencing all her “firsts”—her first smiles, laughs, and now, the excitement of her starting to crawl, as well as new experiences like our first photoshoot, vacation and even simple outings like lunch and ice cream! Every little moment feels magical. I’m soaking up these simple pleasures, knowing how quickly time flies.
We had a very special 100 days family photo by Flytographer. It was our first family photoshoot for 4 and we so happy with how all the photos turned out!

Of course, with motherhood have been challenges too. It’s a whole new world compared to my life before. Adjusting to the constant demands of a tiny human being, the changes in my body, and trying to find a new version of myself amidst it all has been difficult. I’m forever grateful to have my husband by my side and we’re both slowly learning to navigate this new normal.
My daily routine has transformed drastically. Where my days once felt jam-packed with tasks, they still are—but in a very different way. There’s a new stillness and calmness in my life now.
I spend more time at home, enjoying peaceful moments like cooking meals or just sitting and playing with my daughter and dog.
Below is a fun little video of her playing with her Lovevery – Charmer Kit (3-4 months). I’ve been getting their play kits since she was born and they’ve been so helpful!
The Lovevery play kits are tailored to the specific age of your child and take the guess work out of what toys to buy. I love how they also come with an instructional booklet and app to guide you to play while educating your little one too!
Balancing motherhood with work and personal time is tough, and mom guilt is real. But I make it a point to get out on my own once or twice a week, which has been crucial for my well-being. Sometimes it’s a nail appointment, coffee with a friend, or even a solo shopping day—whatever it is, it helps me recharge.
Watching my husband step into the role of fatherhood has been incredibly special too. Seeing the bond develop between him and our daughter has filled my heart with so much love and admiration.
From the way he soothes her when she’s fussy to the pure joy on his face during their playtime, it’s clear that their connection is something truly beautiful. This journey has deepened my love for him in ways I never imagined, and I’m so grateful to share this experience with him. Watching him become a dad has made me fall in love with him all over again.
This summer flew by in a blur of local outings and quiet moments with my family. We even took our first family trip to cottage country, where we stayed in a beautifully renovated Airstream.
It was such a unique experience, and watching my daughter explore this new environment was unforgettable. Check out my Instagram post about the trip here.
Reflecting on the past half year, I realize how much I’ve grown too. Having a daughter has added a new dimension to my life, and I finally feel the true responsibilities of adulthood. My perspective on life has shifted dramatically—small worries that used to consume me have melted away, replaced by a focus on the bigger picture.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to see my daughter continue to grow and to get back into my work and refocus on my business. For now, my plans are simple: enjoying the last of the summer weather with neighborhood walks and local trips, savoring every moment with my little one as we both continue to learn and grow together.
Stay tuned for a dose of mom life incorporated with all your regular fashion and beauty posts!
