he midi skirt has been everywhere lately, you’ve seen it on Instagram, in the store displays at the mall, and on your morning commute. I think it’s fair to say the midi skirt trend have taken the fashion industry by storm. I’ve succumb to this cute style myself, adding a few midi skirts and dresses to my wardrobe, including this midi dress here from eShakti.Midi skirts are a hybrid between a mini and a maxi skirt length with a hemline falls that between your knees and ankles. It’s a flattering silhouette that looks good on just about all body types so it’s no surprise fashionista and practical shoppers alike are loving them.
I’ve seen girls wear them with all sorts of shoes, from a classy strappy sandals to dad sneakers and everything in between. Midi length skirts and dresses are versatile, stylish, and not to mention functional and down right comfortable! Like how much effort do you spend to keep pulling down a mini skirt that rides up when you sit down? Not with the midi! It’s breezy and comfortable in the summer and wears well into the cooler seasons too!

his midi dress I’m wearing is from eShakti. It’s a great casual summer piece perfect for vacationing or even just a casual weekend brunch. I love the a flattering A-line midi skirt and the fact that comes with a belt that nicely cinches in the waist for to give you some shape. The cotton fabric of this dress is great as well, it’s light enough to feel breezy, but has a little weight to it so it flows nicely. The best part of eShakti dresses is that you’re able to customize the fit and style exactly to your liking, from your detailed measurements to the dress length, collar style and sleeve length. This is my 4th eShakti dress and each of them has been a perfect fit! (See the rest of my eShakti dresses here, here and here.)
For this outfit, I’ve styled my summer midi dress with some simple strappy sandals and summer accessories like a floppy hat and wicker back for a casual weekend look.

Shoes: Double strap sandals c/o LC Lauren Conrad (similar here)

August 23, 2019Midi length is my fave! I didn’t realize you had 3 other dresses from eshakti – going to click and see how they turned out!

August 23, 2019Yes, lol I didn’t realize I had so many either, but I guess over time they’ve added up! My fave is still that polka dot one. And this one I wasn’t sure about this one at first, but it’s really grown on me!

August 23, 2019I love the look of a midi skirt – on other women. I think I’m too short to pull it off myself.

August 23, 2019It’s so funny you say that because I thought the exact same thing! I’m rather short myself and it took a little getting used to, but I think it’s quite flattering!
