Spring Flowers Nail Design
The winter is almost over which means spring is on its way! So why not get into the spirit by jazzing up your nails with some beautiful spring flower nail designs? I won’t go over the basics of hand and nail care because you are probably up to speed with it. So let’s get started! Tools: a small nail art dotter (or toothpick), two brightly colored nail polishes of your choice, topcoat and nail accessories like gems and glitter polish (optional). Step 1: Begin by giving your nails two layers of your chosen base color. I recommend a lighter color so your flowers will show up nicely. Once it’s dry, paint your nails with a layer of topcoat to give it a shiny finish. Step 2: Now it’s time to start designing your flowers. Get your other nail polish (a coral pink is perfect for spring!) and place a little bit of it on your dotting tool. Then form the petals by making 5 dots in a pentagon shape. Once you are happy with your first petal shape, dot the rest of the petals in a similar style. If you are an artsy person, why not try overlapping some of the petals on your design? Not only is it a great way to hide problem areas like smudges, but it will also add some depth to your finished design. Step 3:Fill in the centre of the flower with a contrasting color and leave it to dry. You could even accessorize the centre piece of the flower with a nail gem to add a little sparkle. Once you are happy with all your nails, cover them in topcoat. You could even top it all off with a layer of glittery clear polish for added sparkle.
