My favorite time of the year is right now, the late spring, right before the start of summer, where the weather just starting to warm up, and the trees and flowers are still in bloom. For me, it’s always filled with the hope and anticipation of summer, while still feeling thankful that winter is finally over for good. Not to mention the nostalgia that soon school will be out, even though I’ve long past my schooling days.
During the late spring, you’ll likely find me in a summer dress, and likely a floral one at that (much like here, here, here, and here). And it’s the perfect time for it too, when the weather isn’t quite sweltering and cozy sweater makes things comfortably right at night. I was lucky to find this street of white flowering trees in my neighbour and thought it would make the perfect backdrop to match my latest floral dress addition to my closet.

With lots of flow and a little bit of swing, this it’s the perfect transitional dress between summer and spring. Since the weather hasn’t been quite warm yet, I’ve paired it with my every day essential suede grey ankle boots (always on high rotation), and a brown felt hat to keep that spring breeze at bay, and my trusty leather bucket bag to make this outfit easy, wearable and practical.
