Workwear Wednesday with Ann Taylor

As someone who works in an office, it’s easy to get into a rut with your workwear style wearing black slacks and button ups day-in day-out.

But the workwear work dress code has really evolved for the modern women, just as their roles and lifestyles have changed through the years. That’s why I’ve teamed up with Ann Taylor to put together a sophisticated, versatile office look that goes desk to dinner and from 9am to 9pm.

This workwear look from Ann Taylor is both classic and feminine, incorporating traditional shapes like the pencil skirt and blouse, but adding personality and flair with textures, details and colour.

This pencil skirt is a perfect workwear piece with its classic shape, while marble heathered knit adds a modern twist. I find it’s the little details like this that can make all the difference when it comes to workwear. For example just look how this the pearl details on the neckline of the top add a feminine touch to an otherwise standard blouse.

I also love this pink moto jacket so much! And it’s amazing that Ann Taylor has turned this otherwise casual shape into such a  refined piece with by using structured knit twill material polished zipper finishings.
