Summer is the season for vacations, and particularly for mini vacays like weekend getaways with abundance of long weekends during this season! While I’m travelling, my personal preference to wear non-fussy outfits that are simple yet still look pulled together, because honestly you won’t be enjoying you trip if you’re fussing about whether your blouse is creasing or your skirt is riding up. So today on the blog, I’m sharing 4 easy pieces that are perfect to pack for a weekend getaway.
1. The Romper
Rompers are an easy one-and-done dressing option that are cute as dresses, but more versatile for doing activities since they’re basically shorts too. For example, playing beach volleyball in a summer dress, probably not the best idea, but in a romper, hey, why not! This romper from Shein basically spells s-u-m-m-e-r with its cute pink stripes and tie-up straps which are not only mega-cute, but also practical since you can adjust the length to fit you perfectly. I’m also loving the linen-type fabric that makes it breathable and comfortable in the heat. Shop this romper and more at Shein here.

2. Versatile Sandals
Not sure about you, but teetering around in high heels in the heat is just not my thing, particularly when it comes to being on vacation. You’re bound to be walking more than usual, so finding a good pair of sandals that are both comfy and stylish are a must for me. I always look for shoe options that I can dress up or down, allowing me to wear them with multiple outfits, so I can go from exploring the city to wining and dining. I try my best to minimize the number of shoes I bring on trips, that I’m not lugging around multiple pairs of shoes in my suitcase – which also happens to eat a ton of valuable real estate.
I’ve been loving these pink woven strap sandals from Shein this summer, the two over-the-foot straps are woven and have a little bit of stretch which makes them soft and comfortable, and a secure heel strap prevents them from sliding off as your walking or on amusement park rides. Plus they have a tiny bit of a wedge to gives little leg lengthening boost while still being comfy enough to walk around in all day.
3. The Jumpsuit
Like rompers, jumpsuits are a great dress alternative. I find them to be little on the dressier side since they are typically are longer in length. They’re a great item to wear for a variety of summer events from weddings to dinner dates. I’ve been especially loving this botanical floral printed jumpsuit. The print is so summery and the ruffle details to give it a feminine touch. I’ve been also become a fan of the wide leg crop to this one that makes it breezy and comfortable to wear in the hot weather.

4. Cape Blazer
Even though most summer days a blazing hot, once the sun sets, things can get cool when the breeze drums up. So it’s always a good idea to bring a something to coverup a little. Cardigans or a light sweaters are great, but I’ve been particularly loving this white cape blazer that not only dresses up any outfit for a fancy night out, but helps give you an extra layer so you can enjoy those summer evenings comfortably too.
