Pretty in Pink: Long Vest and Pencil Dress

Long vests are kind of my favourite thing to style lately. They perfect for the Spring and Fall season and make a great layering piece that instantly elevates any look.  I love how it transforms the simplest outfit with such ease. Long vests are so great because they are a versatile and simple piece, yet they can give your any outfit a unique touch.

I have a couple vests on rotation, mostly in black or grey shades, and recently added this pretty pink vest from SHEIN (only $20!!) to my wardrobe. It’s quickly become one of my new favourite pieces of the season.

It’s a great way to add a little pink to the any outfit and here I’ve paired with with a simple white pencil dress to put together this pretty spring look. All of a sudden my white pencil dress takes on new life with this layering piece over top.

I also love how its so wearable that you can throw it on over a jeans and a white tee, or then dress it up with wide leg pants and heels, or throw it over a dress like I’ve done here. I love the flow and sense of movement it gives any outfit.

For this outfit, I’ve paired my pink long vest and white pencil dress with my suede grey Franco Sarto mules (which you can also see here) and Kendall + Kylie Baxter bag (seen here too), both on high rotation this season. This is definitely the type of outfit you will catch me in for after-work drinks and events.
