I can’t believe we’re at the end of the March already! So it’s about time I share a little life update on things.
Overall it’s been a good first quarter, with some ups and downs, but with definitely more good than bad. And with summer coming (my fave season), I’m thinking the best is yet to come.
January Update
This New Year was a bit strange for me. I usually love the start of the New Year. The idea of new beginnings and making goals always excites me. But this January, I felt a lack of motivation.
I did make a few lifestyle goals – including building routines, celebrating more, making time for friendships, and more sustainable + thoughtful living. But most of my quantifiable goals were a continuation of larger goals I already had.
Things had gone back into lockdown here and not much was happening in January. It felt like a slow start to the year for me. I was feeling lot of uncertainty if there would ever be a sense of normal again. And after nearly 2 years of COVID, I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s its taken a toll on.
On the upside of things, we completed our renovations at the end of the month. I have to say, with the kitchen reno my hubby has taken up cooking which has been such a treat!
February Update
February was quite the opposite of January! Turning out to be a short and busy month! I had a number of collabs including Jeanne Lottie, Neo Financial, La Flev, Borboleta, and Viviscal!
This month, I was able to get into a better diet and routine (one of my 2022 goals). Our home has been upside down since we began our renovations back in November, and we were getting takeout far too often! I felt so grateful to have a functioning kitchen again for home cooked meals.
The cold winter along with the restrictions had kept me indoors for the last few months. But in February, I started getting out again. I didn’t realize how much I had missed the small things, like outdoor walks, dining out, shopping on Queen W and going to the mall.
Here’s YouTube short from our shopping trip to Yorkdale Mall!
In February, also started really getting into doing my own nails. And here are a few of my nail looks from the month:
March Recap
In March, I finally got to see my dear friend Zeba again! We hadn’t seen each other since before Christmas, so it was so lovely to catch up. We had a little lunch downtown, and here’s a fun reel of us below.
And honestly March seem to go by so fast I don’t even know what happened! But it’s been a good month, we’ve had some warmer days which have been so refeshing after months of negative temps.
I’ve also been getting out more too which has been amazing! This month attended 2 events, one for Nudestix and for Hamilton Watches. And I hosted little Oscar viewing party with some of my friends with Vivier just this past weekend.
On the blog front, I landed my first Nordstrom collab which was so exciting! I’ve also been dabbling more with video, which you might have noticed if you follow me on Instagram and TikTok – which I have to say I’ve been pretty active on lately!
My nail obsession continues, and here are some of my March nail looks:
Coming up, I’ll finally heading back to the office in April. It will be 3 days a week, but this will be a huge lifestyle change for me. I’ve worked from home for 2 years pretty much now down to the week, and I admittedly enjoy this much more.
There are parts of me that are excited too! It will be nice to see people face to face, and I’m looking forward able to meet up with my girl friends for lunch and the downtown backdrops for my shots again! (Because you must be tired of seeing me shoot inside my home for most of the last 2 years.)
How was the first quarter of the year for you? Let me know in the comments below.

March 31, 2022Yes it’s been a weird start to the year but somehow it’s slowly starting to feel a bit “normal.” I am happy to be able to go out again and see my parents and other friends. I love Zeba and found her blog several years ago. That’s amazing that you gals are besties! So yay for getting to meet up. I hope you are having a great week so far and happy Thursday!
