With the temperatures rising and days getting longer, Spring is finally making it’s way to Canada! It’s a been a long winter here in Toronto, so while cherry blossoms are starting to bloom elsewhere around the world, the snow has just started to melt away.
We’ve had a few sunny days here, and I have to say I’m smitten with Spring fever and can’t wait to shed my winter coat and boots. To getting ready for the Spring, I’ve been adding a few practical pieces to my wardrobe that help transition between the seasons and here are 5 staples I’ve been wearing on repeat.
1. The Classic Moto Jacket
There are few things that are more classic than a leather motorcycle jacket. Truth be told I’ve had this one from Mackage for years, and every time spring rolls around it comes back out of my closet and I fall in love with it all over again.
Leather moto jackets perfect for breaking the wind and warm enough when layered with a sweater. Plus it’s an effortlessly chic piece that’s also ultra versatile.
It’s easy to add a feminine touch when layered with a dress or toughen it up with some jeans and boots. And if you’re not a fan of the leather style, you can find moto jackets like this pink moto jacket that transitions perfectly from workwear to weekend.
2. Turtleneck Sweater Dress

You can look so chic with just a turtleneck sweater dress. It’s versatile transition piece that gives warmth that still looks cute. You can use it as a layering piece under blazers or jackets. And looks great tall boots, ankle boots or even sneakers!
Plus if you pick a neutral colour it will be a wardrobe staple for years to come. I got this turtleneck sweater dress last year, and it’s has been one of my go to items for the transition seasons as well as winter!
3. Long Sleeve Tee’s

I used to only wear short sleeve tee’s, but I recently started wearing long sleeve tees a lot! They’re an ideal great layering piece and perfect for transitioning from winter to spring when things are still a little chilly for just a regular tee.
Plus, I find that long sleeve tees look more polished even if you’re just wearing them with jeans. I’ve been obsessed with the Abercrombie Soft AF collection of long sleeve tees and recently picked up quite a few of them up in all the neutral colours for this Spring!
4. Floral Dresses

Nothing says spring quite like floral print dresses! As you might already know, I’m a huge fan of floral prints with just a few examples here, here, and here.
Floral printed dresses are must for spring and make a great transition piece! While it’s still cooler you can wear them with tights or OTK boots and a sweater, or on it’s own with some cute strappy sandals once the weather warms up.

5. Sunglasses
Now we’re seeing more of that beautiful sunshine, new sunnies are a great accessory to shop for now so you can be ready when summer comes around. There are a lot of fun sunglasses trends this year, including the retro pointed cat-eye, hexagon frames, visor glasses, and my personal fave the oversized round frames.
Sunglasses are an easy way to update your any outfit while protecting your eyes from the sun, not to mention an easy way to make any no-makeup day look glam.
