Buying a dress from Reformation will be an investment. They are on the pricier end, but it will become timeless piece you’ll wear again and again for years to come.

Their dresses have this effortless and classic style to them and also look amazing on many body types.

Their clothes are sustainably and ethically made too, so you can feel good that your purchase is going to a good place.

2. SHEIN ($) – shein.com

Sometimes you just need a cheap dress that you’re going to wear once – maybe it’s to bachelorette party or one of your friends has planned a colour theme for their wedding. And if that’s the case, than SHEIN is the where you’ll find something cheap and chic.

SHEIN sells a wide variety of stylish gowns at extremely low prices. From sweet floral dresses to elegant midis, boho maxi dresses, white summer dresses, seductive off-the-shoulder dresses, and more, there’s something for everyone.

You’ll find summer dresses starting at about $15, but for a nicer dress for a special event or wedding guest dress, I’d say go for something in the $30+ range. The quality will be much better, and the price does often reflect the quality of the items.

3. Revolve – revolve.com

You might have noticed on Instagram I’ve recently have had a new found love for Revolve! They have an amazing selection of contemporary clothing of all kinds, but I particularly love them for their dresses and denim!

Revolve has a wide selection of dresses from more casual sundresses to full out gowns for black tie events.

You’ll find that dresses start at about $75, and you’ll find most of the dresses in the range of $75 -$500, with some more expensive designer dresses as well.

Also Revolve is a great place to shop if you need a dress fast! Their standard shipping is just 2 days, which is great when you realized you’ve procrastinating on shopping and you have wedding or special event coming up this weekend!

& Other Stories is another place I love shopping for summer dresses for weddings and special events.

With a mix of chic and elegant styles, their dresses caters to a wide range of tastes and unique designs that help you stand out, but stay comfortable.

Whether you’re looking for a classic black number, or a maxi moment for the beach wedding , their collection of women’s dresses offers something for every occasion.

I find the quality of the dresses to be quite good and they fall in the mid range category for pricing, which makes them quite accessible!

Lulus has been a long time favourite for summer dresses and cocktail dresses for me. And they also have an amazing selection of wedding guest dresses and prom dresses too!

Most of their dresses are under $100 and look much more expensive than they actually are.

They had an amazing selection of midi dresses, maxi dresses, floral dresses, jumpsuits, and off the shoulder dresses, as well as more modest dresses too that great for more formal events.

5. Abercrombie – abercrombie.com

Abercrombie is one of my favourite places to find summer dresses thanks to the SoCal vibe of their clothes. But did you know they also had a dedicated line for wedding guests outfits and dresses too?

Their elevated dress collection is perfect for special events like engagements, announcements, weddings, birthdays or any other special occasions you need to get dressed up for.
