Summer is my favourite season! And dressing for the summer season is probably the most fun for me too. Filled with fun prints, light fabrics, colourful tones, my summer outfits tend to be cheery and fun, and definitely look happier than a lot of my winter outfits, where I pretty much live in monochromatic world of grey tones. In this post, I’ll be sharing some of my favourite outfits that I’ve worn so far this summer!
I love a good co-ord set and this ruffle trimmed culotte set is the perfect one for summer. Stripes just happen to be one of my favourite prints for the summer and you’ll find that I have quite a few stripey numbers in this post! I love the ruffled shoulder detailing of this co-ord set that gives it a feminine touch. Plus it’s made of a light woven linen material which makes it nice and breezy for the warm weather.
I wore this outfit the the Bayview Village x Wedding Bells Pop-Up they had during the month of June where they did all sorts of fun wedding related activations from a DIY flower stand above, dance classes, customized wedding dress and other fun things like palm readings and cooking classes.

This outfit feels like quintessentially me on a casual day. As much as a love my pretty dresses sometimes you gotta love a good casual t-shirt day. For this outfit I’ve paired a white tee with a maxi ribbed pencil as a way for a more chic casual look. I finished the outfit off with a pink straw hat and some white sneakers with pink laces.

This fun little striped summer dress is the perfect little number for Sunday brunch. It’s a playful dress with frilled sleeves and light blue stripes I’ve accessorized it with a straw bag and hat, as well as these fun lace up espadrilles to add a little summer flavour to the look.

This simple outfit is one I often wear on repeat and just accessorize differently from day to day. These pink crepe pants are a wardrobe staple for me, both comfortable and stylish with the tie-up belt that can be worn in the middle or off to the side like in the photo above. Here, I’ve paired it with a v-neck blouse, that’s shaped like a cropped tee, but with a more elegant fabric. To finish off the look, I’ve paired it some of my Ann Taylor favourites from their recent spring collection, this 4 way stretch blazer jacket and some loafer slides.
In this shot, I’m at the Toronto Eaton Centre for the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Midnight Event. They had set up this cool experience for the launch of Flowerbomb Midnight, their new women’s scent and Spicebomb, their new cologne for mens.

I may not share it as much on my blog and social media, but I’m a huge fitness buff too! I love doing variety of fitness classes from kickboxing to barre and everything in between. Working out is an important part of my lifestyle too, and nothing inspires a workout like some cute workout gear. I got both the top and bottom from Lululemon, and only peeking through my La Vie en Rose Sports Bra. Earlier this year, La Vie en Rose put out a new line of sports bras that are not only functional, but really cute as well!
This is not a new dress, but one haven’t worn in awhile! Actually since last spring, when the flowers started to bloom here. I don’t know why, because I actually love this dress! It was the perfect match for this cute flower swing at the Fancy Face Master Class which I attended with fellow blogger Zeba from Ella Pretty Blog. We had a fun day learning all the tips and tricks on creating beautiful wedding makeup from founder of Fancy Face Brittany Gray and spent some time taking some cute pics around the Distillery District in Toronto as well!

Like I said earlier, this is an outfit I like to wear on repeat and here I’ve worn it to Lush Cosmetics to learn more about going plastic-free for the month of July! Lush Cosmetics is a Canadian brand than makes natural, cruelty free, vegetarian, handmade bath and beauty products that many of which come with no packaging or recylable packaging.
I’ve taken on the challenge to go plastic-free for July and it’s been a really eye opening experience. Plastic makes up 161 millions tons of waste per year and will soon outnumber fish in the ocean, and there’s been so many horror stories of whales washing up on beaches with bellies full of plastic it really breaks my heart to know what we’re doing to our planet. If you’d like to learn more about how you can help and go plastic free yourself, please visit https://www.plasticfreejuly.org/

This maxi dress one of my favourite dresses of all time, and I’ve worn it on multiple occasions (here, here and here) and will probably continue to do so for a long time to come! It’s a patterned maxi wrap dress with long sleeves and trimmed with ruffles and has the most beautiful flow to it! Here I’ve worn it to out for a double night of events with some fellow blogger friends, first to the Estee Lauder Celebration of Diversity Event at the AGO, where they now have 56 shades of their cult classic Double Wear Foundation, and then to the Old Navy Summer Event where I got to DIY and decorate my own summer hat.

Exploring new makeup is one of my other loves! So along with this white pleated blouse and jeans, I’m also styling some makeup from VDL Beauty’s limited edition Pantone Expert Eye Color Palette, Expert Color Real Fit Velvet Lipstick, with Armani Beauty’s Power Fabric Foundation Balm, Neo Nude A Blush for an easy no-makeup makeup look.

I know this picture isn’t the best quality, but I wanted to include it as I had so much fun at this event! This was shot the Viviscal Women’s Empowerment Dinner. It was such a great event where so many great women in the industry came together to bravely share their personal stories on how they not only regained hair confidence, but started owning their story and loving themselves.

I’ve got to be comfy when I travel, but since travelling is also a prime photo opportunity I try to balance my outfit to be comfy enough to sleep in, but chic enough to be photo ready. Here I’m wearing just a pair of jeans, tee and sneakers, but I feel like this double breasted blazer just gives the look a little more polish.
I’ve been pretty obsessed with jeans from Banana Republic and recently picked up two pairs this season. They’ve vamped up their jean collection this past season and they have a bunch of new styles that a modern take and made with great stretch, and I’ve been wearing this pair and my other pair non-stop!
Also have been wearing these Bloom Sneakers from Cougar Shoes as well! They’re the comfiest and perfect for walking when travelling!
