A Final Love Letter to Summer

It’s the last day of summer and it’s a little bit of a bittersweet moment. This summer has been quite the adventure, filled with fresh starts and new undertakings, along with some memorable travels, and many good times. All in all, it’s been a good summer, and I’m ready to say my farewell and welcome the season of everything pumpkin-spiced. So to salute this summer, here’s one last summer OOTD look before I officially shift over to my fall/winter wardrobe.

Outfit Details

My only regret this summer is not finding this dress sooner! It’s from eShakti and if you’re not familiar with them, they’re a online shop that customizes clothing to your measurement and gives you freedom even choose your dress length, sleeve length, and collar style, so you can make your dress or any other clothing unique to you. I chose to make the sleeves a 3/4 arm length and a knee length for my the skirt length in hopes I could get a little more coverage and wear as we transition to the fall season.

I’ve paired the dress with my new Keds Kickstart Meadow sneakers for a fun, casual summer look. These Keds are designed in collaboration with Rifle Paper Co. so they have floral laces adorned with Rifle Paper Co.’s signature lovely Meadow print. They are the perfect tennis shoes that are easy partner with dresses, as well as all things denim, and a great shoe for transitioning season.

Accessory Details

This has been the summer of basket bags, so I thought I’d pull out my fave rattan round bag out for one last spin before storing it away for the season. This bag has been a staple for me all summer long. It’s shape of the bag makes it actually quite roomy and fits my basics – my phone, sunglasses, makeup bag and wallet – easily. For my jewelry, I’ve kept it pretty simple with my Olive + Piper charm necklace and my Daniel Wellington Classic Petite Melrose watch, both pieces that have been on high rotation this summer season.
