5 Fall Trends I’m Loving and 3 I’m Passing On

The crisp mornings and cool evenings are a sure sign it’s time to get ready for fall. Fall is favourite season for dressing. With textures and layers, it’s so much more fun than just throwing on a summer dress.

These days I feel like there are SO many fashion trends. And they come as quickly as they go. As much as I love fashion, I think it’s also important to stay true to your own personal style as well.

Sometimes that means passing on a trend and jumping on another. Today I’m sharing some 8 fall trends, including 5 I’m loving and 3 I’ll be passing on.

I think all 8 trends are amazing, but not all of them were right for me. After you go through the list let me know in the comments below which ones you’d go for!

1. Suit Vests

The suit vest or waistcoat is my must-have item for fall! I got this one a little earlier in August, and it’s been on high rotate already. And I know it’s going to be a great layering piece for fall too!

This is one great piece that’s sure to give your wardrobe an update look, but still something you can wear with all your existing items!

Wear it with matching trousers for a suited look, or just pair it with jeans and skirts to update your look.

2. Platform boots

As a petite girl, I’ve been waiting for the platform trend to return. Now they are back and better than ever, and TikTokers are loving them.

From sandals, to sneakers and boots. Platforms of all kinds are are back!

For fall I just picked up these knee high square toe platform boots and I already know they’re going to my daily boot for this season. I can see myself wearing them with skirts and dresses for this fall and winter.

3. Baggy Denim

Wide leg denim has been around for awhile, but now things are starting to get baggy! I’m loving this laid back effortless look for fall, and it’s a good contrast to all the suiting and blazer styles that have been so popular.

4. Bomber Jackets

Bomber jackets are the new moto jackets. I know they’ve been a wardrobe staple for years, but now they’re back in a new way. Oversized with a retro sporty aesthetics that’s perfect for pairing with that baggy denim.

5. Trousers

Going right along with the blazer and suit vest trend, it’s only natural trousers are right there with them.

I’m loving how the trouser trend is more casual this time and it really helps to make it more wearable too!

3 Fall Trends I’ll be passing on

1. Barbiecore

Hot pink has been a top trending the colour, but with Gerta Gewig’s new Barbie movie it’s turned into a whole new movement!

As a former millenial pink girl, I love pink, but I just can’t do another round of pink especially in such a bright shade.

2. Clogs

Yes, I know they’re all over TikTok and the look kinda awfully comfy and effortless. But this jus a pass for me. Clogs and Croc I just can’t budge on. I just like a more polished look.

3. Cargo Pants

I think cargo pants are such a great casual style pant. But personally it’s just too casual for my lifestyle. I need pants that have the versatility to be dressed up.
