I’m not sure about you, but with these warm temperatures I’ve hardly thought of getting in my fall and winter wardrobe together. But honestly it’s about time to get ready. But what’s trending right now? Here’s a roundup of the biggest fall/winter trends 2017 and the right pieces to update your fall wardrobe.
Better be prepared – because this Fall is going to be bold! The hero colours will definitely be Scarlet Red, Grenadine & Millennial Pink. If you prefer more subtle shades then go with metallic (silver it is!), navy or burgundy.
You’ve guessed it right: it’s the season of all things checkered. If you haven’t got your hands on a checked blazer or a coat yet – now is the time! Also trending are pearls (especially attached to clothes), feathers, ruffles (yes still!) and brocade.
Seems like this Fall is all about eyecatching footwear – but there is one shoe to rule them all: Sock Boots. What started with Balenciaga’s Knife Boots and Fendi’s Stocking Pumps has quickly turned into a mega shoe trend. Also trending this season are over-the-knee boots, velvet shoes, sling backs, and prints.
This season’s go to materials are definitely velvet and corduroy. While corduroy can be quite tricky to style (it easily adds some extra kilos), velvet is wonderfully fluid and great to mix and match with leather and cotton. Another hero fabric this Fall is glossy Vinyl, which looks great with checked pieces. Classic materials like tough leather and denim are also here to stay.
Any favorite fall/winter trends that you’re loving?
