January seem to last what felt like a year, and yet here we are in February with Valentine’s Day nearly upon us! Valentine’s Day is the one holiday we all hate to love and for some, maybe love to hate, but it’s a holiday regardless, and this year I’m I’m made it a goal to celebrate the little things, including this (silly) holiday of Valentine’s Day.
For Valentine’s day, I’ll probably do a low key date night with the hubby, either at one our favourite restaurants or a home-cooked meal. But that doesn’t mean I won’t want to dress for the occasion, because after all dressing up is the funnest part, don’t you agree?
So this year, I’ve teamed up with Ann Taylor to put together this Valentine’s inspired outfit that’s chic enough to wear to the office, but also feminine enough to wear on a date!

Valentine’s Day Inspired Outfit from Ann Taylor
Red is a must when it comes to Valentine’s Day, so this red flared sweater skirt was the perfect piece for a Valentine’s outfit. It has a subtle flowing flare that gives it a feminine touch and falls at the perfect length right at the knee. Plus it’s ultra cozy, making it perfect for those brisk days and chilly nights we often have in February.
To complement the skirt, I’ve paired it with this contrast tipped popover blouse that has loveliest little details. Between the hidden button front and modern contrast tipping, the slit cuff popover gives an extra pretty edge to the blouse.
And to top off this Valentine’s outfit, this plaid chesterfield coat is a great covetable classic, with it’s smartly check pattern in multicoloured plaid that has a bit of that Valentines red in it as well.
Of course no outfit is complete without the right shoes and accessories. These Beck Suede Loafer Pumps are the perfect combo between loafer and pump with a classy pointed toe that lengthens legs. And this little silk heart scarf that’s part of the Ann Taylor Valentine’s capsule, really pulls the whole outfit together with its dainty red heart pattern. I’ve also added this pearl headband to elevate and complete the look!
