Okay, so if you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, by now you should know how much I love my floral dresses, (and if you don’t believe me click here, here, here, here AND here, and those are just from the few months!) Well I have another beautiful floral dress to share with you today from Canadian label 3rd Floor Studio.
If you’re not familiar with the brand, 3rd Floor Studio specializes in making feminine dresses that are thoughtfully designed with wearable fabrics. They’re locally designed and manufactured right here in Toronto, Canada. All their dresses are functional, wearable pieces that will become staples in your closet and you will wear time and time again.
What I love most about their dresses is how beautifully they fit on all body types, along the thought and care that goes into the selection of the fabrics, which make all the difference. The materials are comfortable to wear (super important), won’t catch onto your other clothes, all while being ultra flattering. I’m a huge fan of the brand, and had a chance to check out their FW18 preview earlier this week, where you can see a few pictures some of the other dresses I had a chance to try below.

I find it pretty easy to find dresses in the spring and summer, but when it comes to fall and winter, the selection starts to dwindle and they’re often not as functional to wear either. The Sophia dress is not only beautiful, but makes the perfect fall and winter dress. It features a rose pattern on the heathered grey background and the material is perfect weighted to keep me cozy, but not so heavy that I’ll be sweating it out with my coat on. Like all the cuts of the dresses of 3rd Floor Studio, the Sophia Rose Dress is amazing flattering and shows of the feminine shape while being so comfy. This dress has a slightly looser fit dress (which made it the perfect dress for Thanksgiving dinner I might say) with dolman sleeves, and falls beautifully to show off the silhouette. And best of all it doesn’t cling on to my tights or leggings so I never need worry about it riding up when I’m walking or sitting (worst thing ever right?!)
Other Outfit Details:
Hat: Wool fedora from Rag and Bone (similar here)
Boots: OTK suede boots from Aldo (similar here)
Outerwear: Kenya leather jacket from Mackage
Fall/Winter ’18 – 3rd Floor Studio Preview
Earlier this week, 3rd Floor Studio had their Fall/Winter Preview and I had a chance to try on a couple more of their dresses. The Irene dress (below) is known as their magic dress that makes every body look amazing. And trust me on this because I wasn’t a believer myself when I saw it hanger, but after I tried it on, it was amazed how good it looked on. Plus it’s so versatile, like you could wear it to the office with a blazer or for an evening out or even to a wedding.
The second dress here is the Samantha dress, and I love this floral pattern. The fabric has this smooth flowy feel to it, and even though it feels thin, it has a nice weight to it. I think this would be a perfect year round dress, that you could wear with tights and a sweater in the winter, but still wear in the summer on it’s own with some cute open toe shoes or sandals.
